OPAAL-LogoDear Tom
I wanted to tell you how moved I was when reading your story about beating bowel cancer. It is truly inspirational, your courage, perseverance and persistence in ensuring you understood what was happening to you and your overall approach to coping with this potentially life – changing event leaves me full of admiration.
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us and allowing us to publish this on our blog. I feel sure this can only serve to renew the tremendous commitment our project volunteers have when working daily with other older people facing life – changing events associated with cancer.

The Gateshead project is very lucky to have you championing our work with older people.
I would like to offer my very best wishes to you and your wife and trust you will continue to enjoy life and your involvement with Gateshead Cancer Older People and Advocacy project.
Kind regards
Kath Parson
