NHS England offer End of Life workshops

Following the publication of More Care, Less Pathway, the report of the independent review into the Liverpool Care Pathway, a series of workshops is being held around England this autumn to engage with the public and professionals on proposals to improve end of life care.

This is an opportunity for you to hear about the proposals and share your views and ideas about how care in the last days of life can be improved. The workshops have been convened by the Leadership Alliance for the Care of Dying People (LACDP – chaired by NHS England) and are being organised by Help the Hospices, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Sue Ryder, with support from the National Council for Palliative Care. The workshops are free to attend and all are welcome, although places are limited.

Bookings are now being taken for attendance at the first three workshops in Newcastle, Bristol and Newmarket with further workshops planned for Yorkshire & Humber, Berkshire, Oxford & Reading, Lincoln, London, Crewe, Kent, Preston, West Midlands and Waterlooville

Find out more at www.ncpc.org.uk/events where you can book or contact Matt LLoyd on 020 7697 1520

We very much welcome the opportunity to input into the discussion and hope lots of people go along to the workshops.

  1. All these workshops are fully booked so what chance does the public “actually” get to see the proposals and discuss them??

    • Hi Anoushka, it looks like we didn’t get this information out early enough if the sessions are all booked up. I am sorry and hopefully we’ll be quicker next time.
